I usually feel compelled to clarify I'm not my sister's dad. We have 13 years age difference, so either kind of misconception is kinda creepy...

My sister actually played this up once when we went to the movie theater. When the ticket seller dude asked if we were on a date, I was too embarrassed to say anything, but my sister laughed and said yes and how sweet I was, embarrassing me to further silence.Β
On the plus side, we only had to pay for one ticket, so thanks for the post-movie ice cream, ticket dude.Β

Still happens even when I'm barely my brother's shoulder height(158cm vs. 185cm), but very rarely because I often walk around holding on to the back of his shirt and even stretching his shirts in the process every time we go out.Β

This happens to me sometime when I made brief appearances to my younger sisters school.Β When she came home, she'd inform me that some of her classmates asked her who I was, with some of them stating that I was her boyfriend.Β Golly, I've never been so insulted before lol.

Well my mom is in her early forties but she looks younger (like early 30's) so occasionally when we go shopping together someone will be like "Are you two sisters?" and we are like oh heck no LOL

Lol i was awkwardly looking around waiting for my mom and right when she returned a woman just asked out of nowhere if we were siblings. That was the funniest event i have ever experienced. Well..i experienced another thing that a woman at a store thought i was a boy and told my mother that 'your son has left.' My mother told me later and i was laughing. I looked so much like a boy to some people. But i am a girl

Something that's kind of similar happened to me. I have a sister, and she's four years younger than me. We look really similar though, and we're almost the same height. So, me, my sister, and my mom were at a farmer's market. We walked to a tent that was serving lemonade, and the lady there asked me and my sister, "Are you two twins?" My sister and I literally just stopped walking and stared at her a little. My mom had to tell the lady that my sister is four years younger than me.Β

Ah this is true =.= I was walking with my brother to the canteen this one time since he didnt have money so I was the one paying for his food, and then I gave him his money and we took different paths and these girls from another class was like, Ohhh you guys would make a great couple. and I was literally like, wat.. and then my classmate was like 'which guy?' and pointed at my brother and was like, "thats her brother tho, you sick fcks" I was laughing but deep inside I was like kill me now..Β

XD This has happened to me with my dad. My dad had taken me for a ride on his motorcycle and we stopped to strectch our legs for a while. One of my old teacher spotted us and began telling us what a cute couple we made. After seeing my dad's wedding band, she started congratulating me on getting married! XD I was eighteen and my dad was almost forty XD. When we said that we weren't married, my teacher was VERY confused. She hurried off before we could tell her that he was my dad XD Β Β

This has happened to me only once. Me and my sister went the hospital for our mom's appointment because she needed us to watch our 4 month old brother so while our mom was with her doctor we were keeping our brother entertained and some lady says "What a lovely child you TWO have, you THREE make such a wonderful FAMILY." But that wasn't the best part my sister has a short fuse when it comes to curtain people that she got up went to the lady whispered something to her and her huge grin disappeared in 2 seconds flat. Till this day I still don't know what my sis said

well, it could be worse,
because EVERY SINGLE TIME I walk with my brother, everyone believe he is a girl because of his long hair and young age, and when they see me bursting in laughter when they call him "little girl", Β they either realize their mistake or think that I'm crazy.

one time someone thought my Mother was my sister. ( I was 14, she was 35 at the time...)Β
in 2016 I was at a Family Mart in Tokyo, my buddies and I were gettingΒ onigiri, bean buns, and some drinks, the cashier just looked at us and his tired eyes practically said "Oh God, more Americans... FML"Β
I would honestly love to go back to Tokyo, but my gut tells me that I should wait several more years before I do.Β

Now I remember the time that I was walking to school with my brother, he's near my age. And we were at school, btw. We were just walking to our lockers until a teacher which haven't been teaching me said stuff like "Oh, are you two dating?" I just stare at her and say "We're siblings."
