first time i met pokemondonβt know where senior Henry is now but thank you so much for showing me pokemon red back then
thus i fancy gen 1 the most but my first pokemon game was gold^^

I been playing pokemon for a long time alreadytyy the first pokemon game I played was Pokemon Redd and the last one I played was Pokemon BW2, I need a 3ds console ;; v ;;

No idea what Gen... but as a kid I was never allowed to play or watch pokemon so I never really cared that much about it, I knew of Pokemon, I knew Pikachu, the eveelutions, and a few other pokemons, and Pokemon characters.... earlier this year late last year (2014-2015) my girlfriend got pokemon fire red and said "play this" with the intention of just showing me a little of what it was like "but that got me hooked on fire red and I ended up playing almost a full game, and that was my first pokemon experience at the age of 19.
Now I've skipped a lot and I'm playing Pokemon white version.

My first game was x and y. I never understood why people liked the games when I was younger, but after playing one all the way through I really like them now too. Before x and y I had a copy of platinum but I traded it, I really wish I could have that copy back right now

When I was a kid, they put up all the advertisement for Red, Blue and Yellow (they were released at the same time here), but unfortunately, until it came to that special day, I made a horrible decision of stop playing videogames (seriously the only thing I want to change looking back). So I missed out.
When I came back into gaming (GBA SP times), I didn't knew that FireRed and LeafGreen were the remakes from back then - so I assumed that it's just too much to catch up to, and didn't start.
I eventually ended up buying all the GB/C Games of from ebay and started a play at Yellow. I came until Cinnobar Island, can't tell if I actually got the 7th badge or not - my bet is on not. I stopped because, I thought the sole reason to play Pokemon was to catch them all - and there was this stupid bird in Seaform Island that was visible on the map, but waaay to high with it's level (Articuno). I didn't knew if I could come back to it later, or if it would vanish, and leveling up so much in that stupid and annoying cave... yeah...
I then tried again with Pokemon White, shortly before BW2 came out. It was fun and I ended up buying Black 2 as well in order to get Genesect. But halfway through (around Route 4 I believe) I stopped again, because I got frustrated over this goal to "catch them all". I didn't knew about breeding, and I thought that every Pokemon in the game was new to Gen V, meaning that I would need all the other games to even catch them all.
Then I got aware of Nuzlocke Comics, and they seemed very interesting. It gave me a new perspective on the game - mainly that I can have fun without needing to catch them all. So I got X, and started with the first Pokemon each area - but did a few exceptions. And in the end? I managed to complete the whole Pokedex, including Event Legendaries, on X - Without the intent to do so at the beginning (and mostly seeing how far I could get). With only a few Pokemon from my old White and Black 2 games (starters, Genesect, early Pokemon).
Since then I completed LeafGreen, White and Black 2, are halfway through SoulSilver (shortly before Lugia, paused because of ORAS), and am still not too far into Alpha Sapphire - mostly because I lacked the time and Majoras Mask XD
Since then I filled up my game collection with FireRed, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, HeartGold, Platinum and Platin (german version), Black, White 2, Y and Omega Ruby, so, I start catching up
Leaf Green and Soul Silver are also the start of a challenge I put on myself, not as hard as Nuzlocke, but challenging enough for someone who never played most of these games before. It's fun ^.^
So yeah, a long story - but that's my story with Pokemon :3
(And seriously, Gen V is, in my opinion, the WORST to start into the Pokemon franchise... XD though I haven't seen Sinnoh yet... ^^)

I honestly don't remember how I got into pokemon. I guess the show first. Then ended up with Pokemon Stadium and Silver. Silver was my first game with my GBA SP(I got it before color).
I was an only child soooo...yea.
I got Red and Blue a year after Silver. And then got Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald at once around when they came out, used of course.
I loved pokemon and it's intergrained into my memory as much as Mario, Sonic, Spyro, and Crash are.
I had no one to share my pokemon interest with, but I had loads of fun with my precious babies. <3 And got my old group rejoined in SoulSilver. RIP original gang, stupid battery.
I now have a friend whom I can share my pokemon interest with though. X3

Pokemon Crystal, I started to play pokemon a bit late considering that I was born in Europe, in 1994, (In fact, my first consol wasn't a Gameboy Color, It was a Gameboy Advance). The second generation still being my favourite saga (I miss you typhlosion T_T)

Guess I got into Pokemon a similar way just that my brother was the one having Pokemon Yellow ^-^ The age difference between my brothers and me is huge so they did have all the nice consoles and stuff back then <.< So big bro got the Pokemon Yellow game from our Cousin but since my brother prefered playing Turok on his N64 I was like 'Can I play this then?' while having the Gameboy in my hand with the Pokemon Yellow game in it

My first Pokemon game was Red too, so of course it's dear to my heart for that.Β
I played them all and loved them all ;A; I don't know which one would be my favorite, Platinum maybe ? Gold ? I don't want to sound like the more recent the better, but I seriously love XY and ORAS too, Pokemon Amie, being able to fly on Mega Latios/Latias, etc, that's very immersive and I just love it ;A; Being able to play with my Pokemon is a wonderful thing to me ;u;

Even though the first Pokemon game I ever played was Crystal (followed very closely by Emerald), the first one I ever beat was X.Β

I'd prefer Gen-1 where all the pokemons only has 1 attribute. Like simply fire, water, rock, etc. Not like the pokemons we know today like rock and fire, ghost and water, dragon and flying.
