Gotta admit when I first saw this i was like this kid is one stupid fuck. Even worse is Sally who sits with him. That's beyond stupid. it's like felony stupid.

You mean the movie or the drawing?... >///< Did I mess up on the drawing? I was just trying to draw in the style of peanuts but with a kind of anime look... I wanted to kinda summarize the movie... Charlie Brown always gets a rock while Trick-or-Treating, he gets afraid of snoopy, thinking he is the ghost of the great pumpkin, and because he's so scared, he trips over a big or "great" pumpkin (ah, puns)

Ah, okay! I got a bit worried... Thank you so much (Sorry I'm a worrier and super paranoid about everything >n<) And yes, the story itself is very absurd but in a cute way, because when you really think of it, that's all you can really expect from a group of Elementary schoolers and a dog that has very over-the-top emotions and no parents whatsoever and no teacher to be seen! XD

The curious part about it is when I first started reading Charlie Brown....it was extremely dark and depressing and grounded in the reality of life is unfair and kids are cruel little fuckers. It really made you think while at the same time acknowledging that life just isn't fair and there's nothing you can do about it.
The Charlie Brown series that most people know and is depicted especially with the over the top personalities of snoopy weren't originally present.
Over time Snoopy started trying on different "animal personalities" because he was ashamed of being a dog and wished he could be a different animal. And would often humiliate himself and mocked or made fun of.
Combined with Charlie Brown who most of the times did nothing wrong or was morally right in situations just couldn't catch a break or backup from his peers and the neighborhood...his neurotic dog made for quite the team.
It wasn't until Snoopy started mimicking humans that series really started to pick up and a huge fight between Schultz and the publisher over the direction of the series. The publisher wanted it to be PEANUTS and family friendly with the antics of snoopy. Schultz wanted it to remain CHARLIE BROWN and focus on the depressing realities of life through Charlie Brown.
The compromise I believe was PEANUTS: Featuring Charlie Brown or some derivative. Schultz also had to lighten up big time. Though he did revisit life is unfair themes periodically but in a much lighter way.
Over time Snoopy consumed the entire series much like Urkel consumed Family Maters.
There's nothing wrong with being a worrier or paranoid. I'm something similar. I look it as being passionate about something.

People fear what the don't understand. Eventually, they grow to dislike what they fear. When the dislike is unable to be comprehended on their terms in a way that makes sense to them. Their dislike then turns to hatred. Hatred breeds conflict.
