Beautiful photo!
I don't know how you find such beautiful birds to take such great photos of! All I seem to see is a lot of pigeons and some crows!

Thank you! Β I bet you'd get hummers if you put out a feeder - they're all over in southern CA...Anna's and Rufous and Allen's Β Where I am in northern CA we have Anna's all winter (a handful) but about a month ago they started migrating and I now have a couple dozen! Β The Rufous and black chinned have begun showing and will hang around for a few days or a week before continuing on their migration...I think the Allens stay closer to the coast then where I am, but they are a little hard to tell apart from the Rufous...

Thank you so much for the information dear friend. It still takes skill and talent to take such awesome photos like you do! So even if I stumble upon a bird and by a miracle happen to get my camera configured to take the shot, I would not be able to produce the quality of photos that you do!

it takes a bit of practice - thank God for digital!!! Β When I look back at some of my original hummer shots I blush
'cuz I remember when I thought THOSE were good! Β I'm a watcher on a facebook hummer site where there are shots that put my best here to shame (well, not shame exactly but make me want to strive to do even better...
)
Hummers quickly get used to you being near them - so I lurk around the feeder and snap to my hearts content! Β The 300mm lens helps too
