from front to back: Bear, Switch, Nightingale, Swifts mom, Swift, Blood, and Alpha (still working on name)This is not all the characters, but i like seeing who I have concepts of all together like this because it helps me make color decisions. I threw one ofΒ 's old BGs on there to get a sense of how theyd look in one of our environments

I remeber being a fan of the old BBA series a few years ago, it was one of my favorites here on DA (I had another account back then though).
This reboot looks really nice and I look forward to see how this new version will play out

Hay there! Just wanted to say I followed BBA back in the day and I was sad when it stopped updatin. THen I made a new account, decided to find ya again for kicks and giggles and I see all THIS... and I'm super excited about the revamp! Your design concepts are amazin and I can't wait to see what you've done with the characters and new story!

The old comic was like, my childhood. I waited and watched everyday for new pages for the time it was out >.< SO excited for the revamp and for it to go on again <3

I was just telling a buddy of mine about the comic that started the whole wolf comic avalanche and came to see what's up and WOW! This is such a massive improvement over the old characters when they kinda lookedΒ like dogfoxes with bright colours. These guys actually all look like real wolves and yet they're all so different in their facial and body structure. Very, very well done.

You're definitively doing it right. I think a lot of your older fans were attracted to the more...hm, cheesy aspects of the comic or were just pleased with wolves doing flashy stuff. Your current iteration keeps the original's charm but is also done in a way that can be taken seriously by non-wolf-fans.

I just love how sleek Switch is, and how distinctive each of the others are.

The alpha still doesn't quite fit in to me somehow. She and Switch stand out a bit, though Switch slightly less so.
With Switch she just unsettles me in the same way that... I think it was Kailani at Wolfpark who always looked out of step with the other wolves there. Anyway one of them had really really angular eyes. Something in the slope of the face combined with the angle and placement of the eyes. Switch reminds me very much of that. So she's "off" in a way that still works. (And if you take just her and Bear away from all the others they fit together REALLY well somehow).
But where the alpha's nose meets her forehead, I think is what does it... I feel like it's almost too exaggerated to fit with the others. The others look animated and personified without looking too "toony", if that makes sense. If you took away that little dimple and made it more of an even slope, while keeping the rest of the curvature of the muzzle the same, it would be enough of a tweak to make her fit with the others, I think.
You may want to toy with this image more, shuffling the order around on which wolves are standing next to which - shuffle them a bit. Might help see things you might otherwise not have noticed. Give you a better idea what you want from them all.

If I may suggest, perhaps you could consider either changing the color of the alpha slightly, or increasing the brightness of the rest. The design looks fine by itself but it stands out quite a bit - on a comic page, that one would hog all of the attention even though there might be more characters on it. All the others have such muted tones, and then BANG! Whiteness.Β
That being said, it looks pretty nice. I'm really excited to finally see this comic re-boot!

Originally, Swiftkill's mother was called Fleetfoot I do believe, if that will stay the same in this comic is unknown.
