The background is so beautiful, you certianly found yourself a good partner for your comic. ^^ A good setting it seems lets the reader really get into the characters and plot.

Wow, the atmosphere is absoluely amazing! Just love the hazy effect and the weather, really suits the mood. Forgive a nood for asking, but is it alright if you tell me how you made the trees? It would help a lot, thanks!

That's beautiful scenery..I love the grass and the trees and...just everything, how about, or I'd be going on forever. Do you draw the wolves and then put them in the backgrounds, or draw them on the backgrounds?
When I draw things (but it's just a hobby and I'm not this good) sometimes I draw them on backgrounds, or draw a character, make the image transparent and then move them onto the background I have (I don't draw backgrounds, though, I am lazy and use a photo usually). It's easier to edit a character drawing if it's not on a background, huh? But I'm just curious.

So... while I'm certainly not an authority on comics, I would like to put in my two cents. Because I'm nosy like that.
You show the passage of time beautifully here with the rain stopping and the scene fading from chaos into this mournful tranquility. IMHO, your "The following morning" at the top of the page is superfluous and distracting overtop such a neatly done transition. Maybe you ought to pop it out, and let your beautiful images speak for themselves. That is, after all, part of the magic of a graphic novel, right? ^_~ I understand that this is already in print, but... that's what first editions are for??? Oh, whatever. Anyway, sorry if I've offended, but it just seemed such a tiny thing to let it mar so pretty a piece.
