This is the second of an 8 page set from a "preview" scene from the new BBA world. One of these pages will go out every two weeks on Mondays.
We hope you will enjoy the preview while we take time to prepare for the release of the beginning pages of the main story arc, scheduled for early 2015.
This preview was made to test out a few things, including a new layout and formatting approach. With these pages I was also experimenting with a simpler drawing style - but I do not think I'll be actually moving forward with this same level of simplicity/abstraction when I start the main arc.

I think this is my favorite page thus far. I really love the long panel format on this page. It really does work wonderfully, giving a sense that they are traveling a good ways and Swift is a noisy back seat driver XD
Also I love that Blood is watching for Swift's reaction once they reach it, rather than checking out the eggs

I actually notice the improvements in this page than the previous ones. Before it seemed like your characters didn't really blend in with fable's backgrounds, but they seem a little more evened in here. I'm sure the more you all go with this, the closer you can get to figuring out how to not make them seem at all apart from the background.

That was more my fault. I got a bit value crazy in the previous pages when keeping the value range more limited might've suited it better. Doing the preview pages helped us figure out hiccups in the system though. Handing it back to me for a next pass to ensure the lighting colors and bg are meshing well is gonna be important.
