been quiet lately because ive been focusing on story development, so took a short break from drawing the concepts

I like the color change, having them both with the same colors might have made it easy to confuse the two, plus I'm not sure what Swifty's dad looks like and I think it'd be better if she looked like a mix of both her parents and not just her mom. Though I'm not totally convinced of her mom's colors... this is probably just me, but her coloration now reminds me of dried blood and I find it a bit unnerving to look at, heh. No offense meant, but I do hope you continue to try different colors on her mom.

The green lines in the original comic were tattoos she earned in adulthood. Though haha, I will admit, it is strange to see her without them lol.

thanks for the info, now its clear why all the blackbloods use to have those marks in the comic. Odd thing is that the story never tells about it much in the first comic though...
BTW I was woking on some sort of fanmade comic sequel in the past ^^ things got slowing down noticeably with it, especially since it took me some time to ask someone helping me with the drawings (wrote the script to the fanart)

Ah. Well, the tattoos were a bit of a right of passage. They were earned by Blackbloods who completed the mentioned Mammoth Hunt.

Yes, it's told when Blaise and Mudfoot go to get the Blackbloods. Mudfoot tells the story of the Mammoth Hunts to Blaise, though it doesn't explicitly mention in the comic that that is how they earn their tattoos.
I know because I'm a staff member on Kay's roleplay forum, and we know a lot of stuff about the original comic that is canon, but was never in the comic before it was discontinued.
