I realized I never had an updated sheet of her up here. The character sheet of her in the gallery is ancient. So im uploading this. (had to adjust the colors so it looked OK on web. So it should look decent in the browser but not in photoshop).My grasp on anatomy has really improved in the last few years. If you'd like to compare this to the old image of her, it's [link] . I find it fitting that drawings from the past looked puppy-like. They all look much more adult now as I improve!
In other news, the comic will be published on Nov. 14. Erin and I will be selling signed issues at Furfest (www.furfest.org) along with figures.
More details regarding online sales of the comic will be posted once I hammer out details.

Mmm, I'm constantly impressed by how expressive you manage to make the faces on your wolves, without making them look too "human" -- if that makes any sense? There's that line, with somewhat cartoonish styles (I don't mean that in a negative way, I mean stylized rather than photorealistic) of too animal, so there's no expressions that a human would really recognize, or too human, so that they don't even look like their original counterpart anymore. And you're very, very good at staying right in the happy medium.
I do, however, have one minor anatomy critique. Her body is VERY narrow, and particularly the chest -- wolves, especially a fit warrior-type like Swiftkill here, need a deep chest and big ribcage to accomodate the lungs'n'heart'n'all. Deeper chest = more oxygen = faster and more stamina. Look at cheetahs -- very very slender, HUGE chest.

I couldn't find the same pose exactly, but this is a pretty similar slightly angled side view -- see how deep the chest is, and how it tucks up towards the hindquarters? That keeps the wolf from looking "fat," but still gives them that powerful look.

Thanks for the ref. I totally agree, she is too narrow. D'oh. Thats what i get for drawing without a real wolf photo open to keep me in line! Its really handy to have refs of the real animal on hand. As much as I tell kids "use photos!" sometimes, I am very bad at taking my own advice. lol
