messing with colors and sizesit has been...a long time since i have drawn bloodspill. maybe 4 years. I almost forgot how to draw her, and had to reference my old work. I didnt change her too much... she is totally the most unrealistic character that will be included in the new comic, but I think that will be alright since complete realism isnt a goal. She is my favorite character design I have ever made by far so the idea of changing her too much is a bit upsetting. Her old palette though that I had on character sheets was sooooo neon so that needed some work).
still dont know if im going to go with those markings on SKs back, so as usual, with these concepts, please assume all character work is temporary until i post a Final Character Design Sheet for him/her!
Edit: In the new story, relations between characters are not necessarily the same as they were in the old story (i.e. these 2 may or may not be siblings.) I am also going to be withholding posting much information when i post drawings of characters because I dont want to spoil anything!
Edit2: adjusted palette on bloodspill because i remembered my cintiq colors are super red

BLOODSPILL <3 I have and always will love her design. I hope she stays the way she is. I do like Swifty's newer design here, but I'm not sure if the saddle marking is too distracting or not. It does add realism, but it also makes her seem so much different (even moreso) from her sister.

I think you should keep the markings on SK's back. I think they add a hint of realism to the design, and overall I just think they're tasteful. It flows well with her design.

is it just me or Bloodspill doesnt seem to have that sort of "necklace"(?) she was wearing inΒ the previous comic

Bloodspill was always my most favorite BBA character. I created a character that was inspired by her! 8) But what do you mean she's the most unrealistic? Is it mainly because her fur is an unnatural shade of red for a wolf or is it something different that I'm missing? o.o

Very nice redesigns, simplicity always has much more appeal, and they've actually become less sparkledog; they were borderline before..
I've loved these two for years, man. I especially like Swift's new markings. The beige streak seems out of place though, perhaps if it streaked down her backbone it would look neat? : )

personally I love the new looks c: these characters had a big place in my heart for quite a few years, they're the main reason I discovered deviantart after finding the comic. They've also struck up inspiration to draw wolves, I must say though that I'll miss the under eye markings on both of them but the designs displayed here are amazing that it isn't really needed. I'm sure what ever you go with will be awesome ;u;.

I like, however they don't look like sisters. They look related, like from the same family tree, but they don't look like they have the same mom and dad.Β I really like both of their designs, though, so Idk what I could suggest to make them look more sisterly.Β

I think that the back marking's on Swift is all okay, except the light beige for some reason, I find that simple marking's on a character today looks much better than complicated patterns, not that swift's back marking is a "complicated" pattern, but for some reason I feel that the beige just doesn't "suite" on her back, like too much effort is being added on her to look different
