In Avana's world, it's common for non-noble lionesses to leave the pride for two months to give birth and raise their cubs until they're old enough to stop nursing before they return to the pride. It is very uncommon for noble lionesses to do this, because they typically have their own birthing caves and doctors to help them.

But something happened, and Avana was afraid something had happened to her unborn. She was very scared and her base instincts told her to run and to hide. She started to go into early labor and gave birth to two. But the runtier one didn't survive. Her living cub was perfectly healthy though, thank goodness!

She was very tired and weak after giving birth.

Everyone was very worried about where Avana went. All they knew is she went on a walk without someone to accompany her, and she just disappeared after that. Avana didn't return until early morning when she'd had enough rest to be able to travel.
