Bio: Kion was born not long after the prides united. He was born around the same time as Vitani's son Hasani, but they werent friends. As a cub, Kion was naive to how to world worked and was prejudiced against all non-lion carnivores. He saw them all as poachers and would not allow them to hunt lawfully. This caused his carnivore subjects to dislike, and even hate him, while his herbivore subjects adored him.

One day he stumbled across a spitting cobra's nest full of eggs. He was concerned for their well-being as the nest was cold. As he thought of what to do in order to save the lives inside the eggs, a rustling came from a bush nearby. In a flash, the mother snake hissed and struck Kion in the eye. "Get away from my nest!" She thought he was there to harm her young and had attacked. Kion managed to get away without receiving another bite from the angry mother.

The Pridelands did not have access to the medication needed in order to treat the snake bite. In order to save his life, Kion was transported to the Tree of Life for treatment. While there, Kion developed a crush on the future queen. After her grandmother died, Kion decided to stay a little longer after his treatment to give the new Queen emotional support and they soon developed a childhood romance. Surak ascended the throne as regent for Rani until she grew up.

Eventually Kion did return home, and he and Rani often sent a messenger bird back and forth to communicate. After Simba died, Kion decided to move to the Tree of Life to be with Rani. He just couldn't bare to be home anymore. At this point, Kion and Rani were both around 2 years old. Rani's coronation ceremony occurred shortly after Kion's arrival, and he was speechless when Rani called him to her rock and asked him to be her king. He of course said yes.

They went on to have 3 cubs together.
