So I decided to fill out the Golden Sun Meme thing I've seen floating around. The blank is here . Filled out in Inkscape, with the art style of the webcomic Order of the Stick.

1. Not much to say, here. That's me; my name is pronounced "kay-dee-seven-ess-oh-vee". On the right is Felix. He shows up a few times here, and a bit elsewhere in my gallery. [Text: Hey there! I'm Kd7sov. I often go by Kd7.] [Text: This here is Felix. But you knew that.]

2. Lighthouseshipping. What can I say? I really like the way Felix looks in that suit, by the way. Sheba's holding a bouquet. [Text: D'aww. They look so happy. Felix looks funny in a suit.] [Text: Don't ask me about the flowers; I don't know.]

3. I don't understand why many people restrict themselves so on this meme. Just about any pair of GS characters has been done; just ask the GSWiki. (Seriously, Isaac/his roof?) The girl is Mary, from several Harvest Moon games. I modeled her on a picture from her Friends of Mineral Town wedding, but gave her back her glasses, because who wants the bride to be blind on her wedding day? Also, unless the special effects or makeup people get involved, any girl or woman is much cuter when she's got glasses on. This actually happened once, in that the first time I played FOMT I named my character after Felix and wooed Mary. [Text: What, you think I should only use GS characters? What kind of crackship are you looking for?] [Text: This is Mary, from several Harvest Moon games. My references were from FOMT.]

4. I took the working coward's approach to this: I "traced" (using nodes and curves) the Mars Djinni up at the top.

5. Yyyyyeah.

6. Poor lonely Ivan. I think I put his belt too low.

7. I don't know why, but I never copy or trace a cape. I may copy the part in front of the neck, but the billowy bits are fresh each time. So, yeah, Venus Adept. [Text: ...Maybe I'm using Grind? I dunno.]

8. Felix didn't seem to like the idea. [Text: Aah, Felix says no. Should I... Do you wanna...]

9. Hey, it's the best silly outfit I could think of. [Text: Wow, he looks upset. Why so angry, clown?] This text may have been a mistake, may have provoked him later on.

10. Felix is rummaging off-screen. Originally I planned on doing an "I'll get there first!" sort of thing with the GSS logo, but somebody sabotaged the camera controls. [Text: Uh, Felix? What are you doing? you're supposed to be fighting over... Oh, no.]

11. ...I guess this counts as slow and painful and horrible death? Anyway, yeah, that's the Master Sword. Traced from the Ocarina of Time Master Sword. (The invisible layer toggle is your friend.) [Text: Where'd you get that Master Sword?] [Text: Back later, fleeing for my life!]

12. Yyyep. It's true, too! Nearly everywhere I go on the internet can be traced back, in some way, to the Milliways community, which I found from a story called "Suedom", which I found from Camilla Sandman's website, which I found from fanfiction.net, which I found from the Mercury Lighthouse forums, which I found from that search. Oddly, Order of the Stick itself may be an exception; I have no idea how I got there in the first place. [Text: Really, truly. Back in '04 sometime, I did a single Google search that opened the Internet to me. The search term was "Golden Sun 3".]

I made a discovery in the process of this. Apparently, the darker a character's hair, the easier it is for me to adapt to OOTS-style. I don't know why it is, but both Mary and Toph (see "Best Earthbender in Any World!" [link] ) were super-easy, whereas I've never been all that pleased with Sheba or Isaac.
