Description An alternate iteration of strip #43 of the webcomic Order of the Stick.

Some explanation is probably in order. In OOTS 43, the titular Order encounters the Linear Guild, composed of an evil opposite to each of them. At some point in the process of making my Star Trek combination pictures, I decided to revisit that idea; so, each OOTS character is faced with his or her "equivalent" Trek character. Regardless of time period, apparently. I did so horribly on Dr. Crusher's hair.

This was an entry in the Iron Avatarist: Space Opera competition on the Giant in the Playground forums.

Elan's opposite is Captain Kirk? Or am I wrong here?

Sulu, actually.

And they're not so much opposites as "I felt like drawing them combined and then facing each other". I wouldn't call Sisko and Roy particularly opposite, for isntance.

Ah, I thought about Kirk since Elan and Kirk were both ladie's men. The other pairings are more or less good.

Sisko and Roy are a perfect pairing (both black, both leaders)
V and Spock are perfect too (maybe better mirror-world Spock, since V sold his soul)
Durkon and Scotty are good. You can totally imagine them having a drink together.

Haley and Dr. Crusher are at least both redheads. But I don't see many similarities among them.
Belkar and Quark (i guess) are rather the odd and sneaky side.

Well, you know, IA can do strange things to your brain. I don't remember whether it started with Spock or Sisko, but either way I like the way it turned out.

It's like looking in a mirror! A dirty, broken, funhouse mirror, in which your reflection doesn't look anything like you...
