Description

This is a commission for CatDude that took some time to complete--mainly because I didn't feel that I had the chops to pull it off when he first proposed it. He wanted a scene in the CrossTime Cafe featuring a number of the "regulars" who frequented the Forum; I suggested basing the picture on the cover art of Marillion's "Clutching At Straws" album.
The picture was created as a diptych, which I then put together into the long image above. Each character was drawn on its own layer so I could move them around for the best effect. The initials of the five artists who founded the CrossTime Cafe are on the mugs behind the bar, while other artists who contributed are hanging out in the room.
From left to right are: Scarletpelt, Ky, Catdude; (at the front table) Jenny Curtis, Reese Tora, Jack Black; (at the back table) Uranium (as Beau Jackal,) Carl Foxmarten, Earl McClaw; Batty, Marmoe, Anselm, Wallaroo, Tarin, Tiger_T, Harvest, Merlin Sinclair, Roy Calbeck, Kathy Grrsn, and Sleepy John (under the pool table.)
