My favorite effect to animate, fire! Not saying I don't like water, ice, electricity, and other effects, but I just like fire. For some reason.Anyway, hope you will find the tutorial helpful. Sorry if it is speedy, but I had to fit it within 10 minutes and I don't like splitting it up into parts.

Eh, I was wondering, do you know how they do that masked glow effect in animes? I do love it, but I can't for the life of me figure out how it's done (or even what to call it)

this is not actually a very good tutorial. its lazy and doesn't give any real tips on how to make fire animation.

i like the tutorial but the only problem is i do not have filter!!! i am using Corel Painter Essentials 4 and for some strange reason it does not have it -_- or it is some were and i do not know were it is.

why not? just make the frames in gimp, and use movie maker (or a gif program) to put them together, a bit tedious, but still...
