Looking at this photo it seems to me that this is a painting!
Magic colors and very soft light

Я сфотографировал эту хорошенькую девочку сразу после восхода солнца. В это время года раннее утро - лучшее время дня!

Perfect shot! You are very skilled to get a hummingbird shot. They are too fast for me!

Thank you for the fave! Right now, the Southbound migration is here, so there are dozens of these guys in the yard all the time. I am kind of lazy, so I just pick out a spot and get the camera pointed in a general direction and let the hummers move into view. There's enough of them that it's only a matter of time before someone obliges.
Also, I take a ton of shots, so that, by the laws of averages, I am guaranteed that one or two will come out pretty good.

Wow, that is great! You definitely have some amazing shots, and I'm glad that the hummingbirds are plentiful. They are such sweet creatures.

Once they get to know you they are pretty brave, even friendly. I could hang out all day on the porch with them!

Oh, it is a female? I thought because of the vibrant coloring it was a male. It is only in the human species that the female is more colorful, or used to be. Not so much any longer but I always believed it was nature's way of protecting the female who usually sets on the eggs / gives birth.

The male has a bright red, iridescent throat patch and his wings make a pleasant high pitched hum while he is in flight...next to that, she actually comes across as downright dull!

Wow! It has been so many years since I have seen a hummer up close. When I was a kid we had a tree with lots of feeders and I think after I moved to Kansas I didn't ever see any there, and haven't since then. I moved when I was 17 and I am 68 so I haven't seen any live hummers in all that time, other than at youtube on videos. That is just sad!

Hmmm...sounds like you need to put up a feeder or two.
