This is product of one of those nights when I couldn't get a character out of my head. This is Shin-Ti, and ancient Kyth Draythyon. I'm really please with the way this image is turning out so far, probably one of my more complex dragon drawings. I'm still debating on if I should add in his right hand.

Shin-Ti is a servant to the Goddess of Hope, Fertility and Nature, so I decided to tint the original linework , before starting to color this image. Figuring this would give me an idea if these are the colors that I want to go with. Shin-Ti's mane is a deep green at the root that fades to gold, his body is pearlecent white, and his central eye is similar to a Peacock Topaz is shifts between varying shades of blue and purple. The hood/mask over his face is a made of a translucent cloth that is green that fades to gold.

I wanted to give him a subtle, earth/forest feel. For he is associated with the element of earth, and being a servant to the Goddess, I thought the above color scheme would work. I debated on using a shade of rust or russet brown but I'm not sure.

Shin-Ti is from the same world that Golden Deamons such as: Ashitaka and "The Fallen" , as well as, Slythorians , and finally The God of Fate and Time
