while we were at a workshop drew this lovely oriental dragon anthro, and well it gave me an idea, and so I created Takara. She's a 3' tall river dragon spirit with a lot of sass from time to time. I wanted to try and stay with a coloration that reflected qualities of a river spirit dragon.
Well I decided to do a nice little update with this image, nice paper, the use of markers and some fun linework. This image was done with the intention to sell the original as well as prints.

I like how you drew her. The one thing that does bug me about this is that the back ground is so bright that it draws away from Takara.

I am glad you put this up. I like it the color choices were well done. There is no longer a flat quality in the sand. Though the grass still seems a little flat... may be some more depth to it. The water is great I really like how that turned out. The shadows are well done on her dress too. OVer all a good peice.

I think the water turned out nice. ^_^ This is a very colorful and uplifting piece. Again, I like Takara's color scheme. I've always loves purple and blue together. I also like her outfit... I bet she'd look really cool in other outfits too. She'd be a fun char to dress up. Perhaps you could draw more of her when you get the chance. Nice work!
My only critique (and it's not really a critique) is that you might wanna fix up a few things on the image for when you sell it as a print. (You could change the color of those dragonflies that bug you so much. Get it... BUG?! Hah... I crack me up.
