Description EDIT: Uh, I appreciate what everyone enjoys this with a , but this is a scrap, a work in progress. I think you can use your favs on more deserving and polished works.

EDIT2: Finished! [link]

WIP Watercolor Commission

Series: Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Characters: Link & Dark Link

Someone commissioned me to do another piece in the flavor that I've done some previous LoZ fanart. Got a couple small tweaks like get Link's hand on the sword right and do some better master sword research. Then I get to tape this bad boy to a window and trace.

Oh thank you! The quick tips I can offer is to study anatomy and to watch and exaggerate the lights and darks you see in a scene, it adds drama.

Dark Link draws the Faves in XD
I just noticed that Link is actually left-handed, but then agian not everyone is as much of a Zelda Geek as I am to know that.

Nice action in the picture, you really have that down well and I love the expressions <3 and you even included the original background!

Yes, Dark Link is very popular. I loved this part of the game, it took me so long to beat Dark Link!

I know about the left! I got too involved in this one, and didn't do it right on this sketch. My other sketches were the proper left hand. I tried to flip this design, but it didn't balance well. So I am going ahead as is. I have the sword sheaths on their backs on the left side, so that is correct. I'll just say that Link dropped the sword and just picked it up in a hurry with his right.

I love the fact that Link is left-handed, like myself.

He was definitely the hardest Miniboss of the game, if not the hardest enemy to beat in the whole game overall. I mean the final boss took more hearts to defeat him but Dark Link was overall more difficult.

For some reason I like his lefthanded-ness as well, I can't really explain why though

Being in a hurry and thus taking the sword in the "wrong" hand is a good excuse!

I like the cartoony feel to it, it's something different from the usual style of drawing Link from Zelda series...

I love this alot. This reminds me so very much of the old NES art style. This is great.
