2011.9- 2012.9 my cell style Before-After Meme.The old one was in the manner of official style while the new one is more close to my own style. Technically not much improvement though....
the left once was the first piece that fully finished in Paint tool Sai which cost me over 5 hours to finish, and the right one is a within one hour doodle. alright, at least speed up a bit...
the original post is on tumblr [link] which is a parody for Grey's Pizzula vocaltwit, it somehow remainds me my teashop waitress Azula, and I still love that idea and design
Photoshop style before n after meme

Speaks of software, I am sometimes asked which software is the best for digital drawing or does it necessary to buy a Photoshop.
Well, I don't think there is "the best drawing software" in the world, each artist has their own coloring hobbit and method, so as long as it suits you most is the best.
For me, I tend to use Sai to make doodle or sketch, for it's faster and smooth, on the other hand, although Photoshop runs slower and cost more time to get strokes right, it enable more freedom in customizing things.
Sai is a very great free paint software, lots fantastic artists use it, it worth a try.

you can see how you've really developed your own style. 2011 looks like Azula. 2012 looks like your own version/interpretation of her with a dash of your own creativity. . . I would definitely say, that is improvement

I like the first one the most because it looks like it could've come right from the show, however your style is completely different now so it's not really a traditional before/after. I do like both your styles but in this case the style of the actual show wins out for me

They both look awesome, but the first looks more like the show, while the latter is more realistic, either way, I love 'em both.

Alright, these two pieces look really good! I've got to say that the second piece, the more recent one, is what i think is more popular in terms of looks though. The coloring style, the lines and soft colors. However, I think I like the older one better, because it has more personality, action and brighter colors. In my humble opinion, both look fantastic, but in different ways. Kinda like one's for kids' cartoon animation, and the other's for pretty artbook/painting style art. 
Either way, keep up the good work! <3

I think you have improved, the 2nd is much more detailed than the first one, I mean her face looks so much softer and unique,and the coloring is great too on the 2nd one. And her whole pose looks better

No, you did improve. The one on the right looks more relaxed or natural in her pose which means you have gotten better with understanding the natural balance of the human body. Her facial expression is also a more naturally subtle even though what she is thinking is obvious.

The only thing that bothers me is the shape of her head on the right one. But it's very nice still.

Before and After? It's a complete difference of style, in this case I like the one before better, because it's just more like Avatar. The second one doesn't even look like Azula if one isn't told so. I like this style too, but it doesn't match to Avatar :/
