I've FINALLLY finished it! The digital painting series I've been working on! This one is the last piece for the trio of digital paintings you've seen recently~ I'm planning to enter them into a local gallery exhibition, so I'm stoked and proud to say I've done it! This was definitely the hardest and most complicated, because I've never drawn mountains and it was ridiculously time-consuming to get to a point where I was satisfied with the outcome. Still iffy, but happy. The mountain was inspired by 77chen 's painting, 'Mountain '
This one, titled Senescence is in reference to the land and natural environment we live in itself and the 'biological aeging'. To sum it up, the idea of these paintings revolved around the 'Moon' as mentioned in my last piece; that regardless of our changes in the environment, urbanization, pollution, global warming and deforestation etc., the Moon and stars will always remain the same, relatively at least.

Like I'm so messed up that I only have one person out of all my friends that really gets my jokes and laughs as much as I do about them xD The rest of them laugh, but you can tell that they don't get it quite as much as my friend Madi. Like they're like "Oh lol that's so funny" and Madi's like "YES OMG ALL OF THE YES THAT'S SUCH COMEDY GOLD WHAT". I was hanging out with her one day during her spare and we were sitting in the teen section of the library like crying from each others jokes, but they were all so psycho that afterwards I was like "I have so many things wrong with me omg" it was awesome xD

Another epic piece mate!
However.. I do have a few small suggestions.. On the lines above, the colourscheme seems a bit different than on the rest of the artwork.. I would personally adjust it a bit so the green parts become more blue'ish like on the bottom.
Otherwise it's amazing.. You have to teach me some of your techniques mate!

Well, I was wondering, how in the world do you get those colours and smooth lines in your works mate..
You know that I've been messing around with the tablet lately, and well, I just can't get those lines the way I want them xD

Well the smooth lines, do you mean how they are 'crisp' or how they just flow in general? In terms of line crispness, its just because I use the standard brushes for outlines etc, to maintain the sharpness of lines! Unless you were talking about the latter! haha. I also tend to apply a small 'sharpening' filter once I finish a piece, to add a bit extra!
For colours, it took me a while to develop a real interesting colour sense, btu what I recommend is using base colours you like to originally work with or a basic colour scheme/set, and using additional layers over it set on Multiplay/Overlay/Soft Light, to get a range of vibrant colours, different hues etc. Mix it up!

Such a splendid concept to let the moon's colour "bleed", as it adds a lot of depth to the piece. The various textures & designs used are ever so well integrated so as to not be overwhelming.

Out of all of the whole series I have to say that this one is my favorite next to Transcendence. Just know that they are all beautiful, I'm in love with the message that each of them bring but I love how she is embracing the mountain and the glare in the distance brings wonderful attention to the streams of air and the birds in the air too. It's just so beautiful and I love the colors!

But to read your comment, is so relieving!! I had so much fun with this series and am kinda sad I ended it so early, but I didn't want to stretch the ideas too far and unnecessarily, they taught me soooo much as well about colour and composition!

thank you for submitting this work to , you've done a marvelous on the mountain and i love the pose on how your character is hugging her, if you don't pay good attention you could be mistaken she is holding her legs XD the color tones are nice and i like how you focus the attention on the central part with the bright colors of the moon and the lights in addition to the whiter air current on which your birds fly. a very good piece of work.
Hopefully you will have enough time to enter our very first contest and show us more of your talent
