1 month later exactly but still early enough to say what a good start to the year, a ref for my sona, Tempest!Some other things you should know about Tempest
This is the design that Tempest originated from:
The last "recent" design that brought her closer to the current design:
Why a wyvern? Why so big? Why this design for a sona? For one, why not? I wanted a sona that stood out from the norm. I didn't want the common: hair, cutesy, sparkly, small sona tropes. This is a dragon. ( I have nothing against them but I personally wanted something different)
So I made her massive like a dragon should be, gave natural colors (the horns being an exception), and made the face more dinosaur and bird like in appearance. Also wyvern because wyverns need more love, I know there's some out there but how often do you see a wyvern sona :c
There are a few aspects that do not make her exactly like me, there are likes and attributes about me that would not fit her. I made her intentionally to not be overly personified. This again, is a dragon. I don't see a dragon, especially of this size, playing video games and drawing. I may draw her doing so for the heck of it, but it's not something to add to her ref. So I added things that would fit a dragon and got it as close as I can.
I do have a bad right shoulder, my collarbone was broken since birth. I can't move it as described in the ref. This is why I am left handed. Does Tempest talk? That hasn't been decided. I know some people consider wyverns a lesser form of dragons, but I'd heavily disagree. They probably would loose in a ground battle against its four legged cousin, but in the air, it's build is vastly superior and would in most cases give it the win.

Wyvern are wonderful species of dragon!^_^
I love Wyvern over everything and I already have some ideas about what they might look like... The reason why there is as little Wyvern as Sona could be because it is difficult for some to draw on such a creature tackle... for example... But I do not know exactly... :'D
Maybe there are some who don't even know this kind of dragon?!

I find it funny when people make that comparison considering how different the head and horn shape is.
