This is my entry for The ~lionking-fanclub 's ID contest. I am not completely pleased with the BG outcome, simply because I believe it could have been better. But, it was a rush job since the contest ends today. Still, I am satisfied with how the characters turned out. Eapecially Nala. I know I haven't drawn the TLK characters in ages,
but for something neglected to be rendered on paper in so long, I was surprised to see I was still able to draw them. And with minimal referrence. ^_^In this scene. Like most famous from the movie, but done in a different concept, Simba tauts Zazu for being so serious. We remember from the first movie how rule obsessed Zazu was and how Simba taunted him for being so overboard, and that he needed to lighten up. Well, I think this pic depicts that same scene, but in its own way. Even though it could have been better, I still like the pic because of the comical scene I put into it.

aww, I use to watch that movie all the time. The series that they came out with were retarted >.<
But anyways, I think it's amazing that you could draw these characters with no refrence..or little of it. I think that Zazu stands out the most, but he is probably alittle easier to draw than Nala and Simba. But all together a very nice work of art.

Poor Zazu, he gets all the gruff from those damn cubs! The characters are drawn fairly accurately, but Zazu himself really shines. I would say good luck but the contest has probably already passed!

Its not too bad, though slightly squed twards the head of Simba (The Lion cubs right side). Although this is very minor it does stand out a bit for me. It looks great for a Disney art style...and its very well colored and drawn. I especialy like the fact that it shows YOUR style still within the art and isnt completely Disney. Very awsome job I must say. Sure fire win if you go over it in photoshop and smooth out afew of those colors.
