I tried D|S very hard, but it was very disappointing. You will find what happened in my attempts in my journals. I really tried, but DS does not deliver...

I guess a major drawback I had with D|S was its inability to separately setup specular and diffuse components from any lights. In addition, things we have in Poser by default had to be bought separately from 3rd party for D|S, and even those would not fully work as expected. Some would only work partially. I don't have any of that with Poser, and even the paid version of D|S still has the same issues. I guess I ran out of patience.

The paid version is called "advanced", but again, in my experience, it promises more than it delivers.

Oh it has some pretty good differences, but in the whole, the sum of the parts doesn't make up for the many flaws. Maybe they will in time, but not just yet.

Poser 8 is a very good version, but it needs to be *patched* to the latest version, or else you will have issues with the initial release bugs.

The full version of V4 has dials to automate posing the entire hand at once if you need that. It can help with things like closing the hand (all fingers at once), or posing the individual fingers.
