Did this for a contest over at FUS , to roboticize a Freedom Fighter.Far as I know, there haven't been any Antoine pics done anywhere >.> so I made one up.
This totally looked better in my head, but it'll do I guess >.>

I have to say I like the background better than the foreground. But there's so much more expression in that one.

I likes. X3 If the char. design were up to me, though, I'd give him a cooler hairstyle. I'd keep the part, but I'd make some parts longer, so there would be two spikes hanging on either side of his face. I just think that'd look good, regardless of whether he's robot or Mobian(?) But that's just meh.

O___O Oh my god, creepy! Antoine was a cool character, but he did seem to have a bad habit of getting himself into bad situations. So cool to see fanart of him, even if it is a robot!

I drew a Mecha Antoine once XD I must have been like 11 or 12. I was so obsessed with drawing robotic Sonic characters back then...
I like this! Ant looks adorably sexy as a bot =9 Makes me wish Sonic hadn't saved him in that one ep (Actually, I wish he hadn't anyway. But I also wish Sonic didn't get out of that botizier in Doomsday... >.>

I know what ya mean about the hip joints. Without the covering thing they looked really exposed, but I just couldn't get a good color for them, so I went with my first choice of the jacket colors. It doesn't look too bad... better than some of the other stuff I tried ><
And yes, I thought the background fit nicely

How come the mechanical boots look similar to Metal Sonics mechanical shoes from the Sonic the Hedgehog: Mecha Madness Special Edition Comic? That's what I'm wondering right now. LOL. It looks great. But you should try adding a bit more robotic detail. That would enchance the effect that he's mechanical. Theirs already some detail like that but not enough in my opinion though. But it still looks good.

This deserves so much more acknowledgement than it currently has, not only is it a kick ass and imaginative mecha character but its also of a character few people bother with. Not to mention the line art and colours are freaking beautiful. Your colouring style really suits mechanicle textures ^^

Love the idea to replace 1 hand with his Rapier, that was a sweet touch.
The only thing that bugged me is his legs have no knee joint, its just 2 poles o_O
thats just me being picky though ^^

I'd do more mecha, but I just don't really have the knack for the finer points of their construction. I've tried doin all sorts of different things, even this pic went through four or five different ideas before I settled on this setup.
He has knee joints, they're in the top part of the boots. I'd've made em more prominent but I really lost them when I scaled the pic down.
My idea with the rapier was that both hands have two modes: hand or rapier. Depending on which is engaged, one is tucked away in the dome while the other is positioned outwards. If it weren't for the tilted-away angle of the rapier arm, it'd be more apparent, but that was just a little idea I had

Now this was interesting. Upon first glance of the title, I naturally thought of a robotic insect. I should think outside the square next time... or maybe just buy a subscription so I can see the lovely thumbnails.
This is a very interesting choice of Freedom Fighter, so I commend you for your originality and the way you actually pulled it off very nicely. His boots or... feet are quite nifty

Thank you =3 I tried to give it a menacing feel as fitting a roboticized fighter.
The background is actually a screenshot I was using for reference, that, as an afterthought, I filtered and resized and turned into the background. It's a pic of Antoine in the roboticizer, so it's rather fitting
