Hi again DeviantArt!My previous piece on the same subject proved to be pretty popular, so I decided to up my game and submit something that wasn't completely half-assed for once. Obviously laziness kicked in almost immediately and I still ended up pretty much half-assing my way through most of it.
For this one I tried upping the number of levels used for shading from two (colours and shadows/highlights) to four.
The feeling of the whole thing is okay I guess, but the inking looks very unprofessional. I think using a thin-pointed marker just doesn't cut it for me; I missed my old crow quill pen really bad.

It's really interesting how I keep getting comments for old pieces like this one. There are so many things in this I would do better now, but it seems to have struck a chord with people.

It just looks really amazing. The more simple comic book artistry is the kind I like. Plus, you've got a good handle on proportion, which to me is the most important thing. I mean, just look at Rob Liefeld. Millions of dollars,Β but his art leaves an awful lot to be desired in the realm of proportion sometimes.
