Needs some sort of plantlife on the land. You have some green on top of the hill but that really isn't enough to convey the idea.

The sea is great. I love how you went with a raging storm look for the water. Unfortunetly, it's not very realistic. Swells like that don't happen near the shore. They turn into waves, which is what's missing.

The anti-aliasing on the water material is rough as you can see. It looks like a raytrace mat so you can probably fix it by enabling the global AA in the mat's raytrace options. I don't remember the exact path to it. I'll post it once I reboot into Windows.

The water is too clear at the shorline. Add some murkiness to those stormy waters for more realism.

The crown of the lighthouse looks like it needs more polys. It seems to have plenty along it's circumfrence but only 3 segments of polys in it's height. That may be an illusion of the architecture though.

Is the light on? I don't think they ever turn them off.

I would add just a touch more density to the fog.

I love the clouds. I love the overall concept.

The problems are fixable. Thumbs up.

I'll try to add some grass strands or something in the next version, see if it looks better

I guess you're right. I'll try to make some waves near the shore and some large swells farther out. Perhaps some waves crushing against the shore, that would have been nice, but I guess quite difficult to make look good. But I can try!

Yes, I need more antialias!

>The water is too clear at the shorline. Add some murkiness to those stormy waters for more realism.

I agree to that, some sand and foam in the water should fix it. How to add it so it looks good I don't know, but I'll come up with something

lol, I didn't notice that, I guess I'll add some meshsmooth to that. 3 segments is not enough

>Is the light on? I don't think they ever turn them off.

The light is not on here. I tried to experiment a bit with some volumetric spotlights, but it didn't look very nice. I'll experiment some more

>I would add just a touch more density to the fog.

Not a bad idea, that'll give it a more stormy, rainy feeling

Thanks a lot for constructive comments, I'll make a v2 of this soon, if I get the time.

Its a cool scene. The water is a bit too..neon? The luminosity is kind of off, it makes it look like theres no anti-aliasing, especially where it hits the little rocks, thats just my view though. It actually looks better when it hits the fog in the background.

Everything else looks good to me. I like how I can count each brick in the lighthouse. Heh, if I still used 3ds, I probably couldn't make it so

Thanks for the comment. Yes the antialiasing around the rocks is not good. I guess I'll have to add some more raytrace/refraction antialias or something.
