Description
This is a companion piece to the actual Portait of Dorian Gray already uploaded (I think), and was done for an educational magazine years ago. They wanted a piece similar to a portrait of Clive Barker I had done. Watercolor, about 12 x 14.Related content

thanks very much! Henderson, huh? You must really feel like a fish out of water, huh? I lived in Las Vegas for awhile.

Like a fish out of water as in being on this site or living in henderson? lol. I've lived here all my life.
Why'd you leave Vegas?

Oh, living in Henderson.
Let's see....why did I leave...I think it was because I got a better job somewhere else...might have been San Diego...it seems so long ago!

Anywhere is better than here lol, I can't say I'm too fond the heat here, ugh. lol. California is always nice and fresh, but I'd rather go off somewhere where it's cold and snowy

you know what? this picture is fucking amazing. i mean, it got a DD those few years ago, so OBVIOUSLY it's something special. but you know what else? i think it's fucking amazing because i REMEMBER looking at this picture when it was on the DD page. i mean, that's only roughly four years ago, but it left such an imprint on me that i could clearly recall it at any time.
infact, it has a habit of randomly popping up in my mental imagery and making me reflect on it in awe. that, my dear artist, is power.
it's still an amazing picture. something i will never forget.

Absolutely stunning! (And I get to write a paper for this book during Christmas break.) The DD comment hits the nail on the head. The white in the painting really adds so much!

I love the concept: you managed to resume in a picture the whole opera. Kudos!

This could almost be a certain English manager of the ginger variety...

Yeah, sorry about that, I should have been more specific.
I was referring to the current manager of the England team (Steve Mclaren)

ha, honestly, there is a resemblance. I was also alluding to his fall from grace as a manager.

Oh my gosh! I read that issue of the magazine (dammit, I forget the name of the magazine). You did a great job on that, and that issue was what introduced me to the works of Oscar Wilde. Cheers!
