oh boy these are great. but as a former magic player it saddens me to see the almighty dark ritual painted over as it was one of my favoritest cards. i can definitely say that magic cards are one of the biggest inspirations to my drive as an artist

Oh well, at least I am painting over my own art!

Well, that is great...I was most worried about this one, since I didn't really know the guy!

lol the things you do with your own cards. Some people paint over their old paintings on canvas, you get magic cards of your art and paint over those .
Awesome.
I love the comedians set, having "dark ritual" listed above them makes it all the funnier.
By the way, as a side note: I've got 2 of your prints now hanging up. They look snazzy keen.

Ah well, I don't decide to do these little things on my own, they are commissioned you know!

Nice Work. Never thought anyone would use a Magic the Gathering Card as a new medium. I'm assuming you used to play or you just bought those for cheap. I'm a player of MTG, not as much as i did back in '01 though. Anywho, great job and an original idea.

Mr. Meyer is also being modest, he painted for Magic cards too. Check out [link] for his Kird Ape Art as an example.

No, actually, people have been doing this for awhile (and I was commissioned to do them)...tho I only heard about it about a year ago. Makes the cards more collectible, I suppose!

Mitch! Sad to see him go! These are very cool. Also dig the Darth Maul.

Well, glad you recognized Mitch! I actually had only just barely heard of the guy, so I was a bit afraid of getting a good likeness.
