Very vibrant and lively colours and lines, makes me very emotional for some reason. I feel like I'm standing right in front of her, it's really beautiful!

I agree with Seasinphony completely: this is absolutely beautiful! The anatomy, pose, shading and overall effect are all masterful. You hit it out of the park on this one!
As (almost) always, you avoided conventional colors for skin tones (with a few tiny exceptions) and it worked beautifully. You were born in the wrong time - you would have fit in perfectly with the fin de siècle Parisian impressionists. This reminds me of something Lautrec would have created.
I like the almost solid upper background color. It frames the figure wonderfully. I am even more impressed by how you added some soft shades of green and purple, which I think give the figure even more depth.
Beautiful work!

Thanks!!! In my journal entry or on my blog I think I mentioned that I got inspired to return to pastel right after seeing Lautrec and Degas at the Met. So yes, good comparison. I hope I live up even a tiny tiny bit to their legacy.
