Oh my f--bleeping-- crap, this is finally frikkin' finished!!!!
That is not a good reaction to have to your art, especially when it looks like this (I have no IDEA what I was trying to do with Mertil's shading. UGH.) I think I tried for half an hour to fit a tail blade into the top panel somewhere before I remembered "hey, it's MERTIL. He doesn't HAVE one." Ugh.
This is the last page I have scripted, sketched and finished for Mind's Eye. It's going on hiatus, since it's becoming more of a nuisance than a help, and because I've turned my efforts to an actual original comic. Everybody go blame it on this. Anyway, if I do piddle around with Mind's Eye in the future, it may not be up to this quality. I depends on how many people are actually interested in it.
*ahem*

Yeah, I love Andalites too. They're so weird and beautiful ... definitely a cool alien, and I see dozens of ways people draw them.
Actually, I still get quite a few comments on these comics from people who find them for the first time. Part of me wants to continue them, but it's been so long I don't really remember what was supposed to happen. Eh, I was doing them from the seat of me pants anyway.

In one of my first comics ,that i plan to redo now that i dont suck, the main character was hitched with ...Aximili...(his unknowningness of everything was wonderful!)

Heh ... yeah. Once upon a time, those books filled three shelves in every bookstore. Now you're lucky to find one or two of the early ones.
Mertil and Gafinilan are from book ... 40, I think. They're a couple Andalites that crashed to Earth around the same time Elfangor did, only they opted to stay in hiding. Mertil also has no tail, which is apparently a big deal but is never further explored in the books.
I'd love to continue this, or one like it. Someday, I think, but unfortunately probably not soon. Thanks for enjoying it though ... I'm glad you like it

Mind's Eye is sadly on hiatus right now, but I want to do some more for it when I have time. Don't worry, I don't want to cancel it ... there'll just be huge gaps between updates. Probably inconspicuously occuring on long weekends and times-when-there-is-no-school

Yay! I'm squared! Or Mertil is. I love Mertil ... he was only ever in one Animorphs book, and only at the end, but he totally rocked. He lost his tail blade in an accident, which immediately ostracizes him from Andalite society (Andalites are dicks 
OMG, I would *love* my own site, but I just don't have time for the upkeep right now (I'm only in town every other week for the rest of the summer, and then school starts). WCN was just supposed to be a starter site for me while I focussed on actually getting the bleeding comics done. It's way less frusterating for me to just worry about finishing the comic and clicking "upload". I know, I'm so horribly lazy
They've been having a few bugs recently, but that's the first time since I've been on it. And in ten days I'll be able to afford to upgrade the account, which means no more ads and, I think, no bandwidth limit. Once my comic greatness kicks off, I'll get a real site ... and it will be awesome squared

Naw, tis pure fasnship. Animorphs was a book series by Katherine Applegate that went out of print about six or seven years ago. Mertil and his friend Gafinilan were a couple of the many Andalite cameos. They were only in book 41, and they never explained what happened to them at the end of the series. I delight in ganking underused characters for fanshipness
True, Mertil didn't get the chance to have much personality in the book, so I'm kinda making that up as I go along. I think that's why I wanted to use him ... more character flexibility

I think my favourite part of drawing Andalites is their expressions ... it's so much fun to try and get the right look from them when they have no mouths or eyebrows

And yeah,drawing Andalites IS hard work,especially since they dont have a mouth.I am currently working on a couple of Animorphs dawings myself and trying to draw an andalite with no mouth and showing expressions...ITS HARD!
I guess thats also why its so fun when i stumble across Andalite Fan Art that is drawn so good like this comic that you are drawing lol

I love the rolling eyes, you're really good an conveying emotion. XD As for updating it, you could leave it in it's B&W stage so it doesn't take as long to do, up to you lol.
