Red's favourite hobbies combined: bossing people around, and raining on everyone's parade
Red's been bugging me for some extra help for a while now, so I got him some minions ...er, minibots. Our trip to the lake was delayed by bad weather for a day, so we went shopping and I found these little guys at the drugstore. Welcome Backfire and RTS Windcharger to my little family. They were pretty excited to come home with me. I hope they are as happy in my apartment as they were here.
Backfire has no mouth, so I decided he speaks in emoticons. He is so adorable and pocket size, I will have to resist carrying him around with me everywhere I go

Backfire is adorable! And Windcharger. XD I'd love to see them trying to pilot that boat. And does Windy realize that's a lake? It's gonna be hard to get to Fiji with no outlet to the ocean.

Haha, I was totally waiting for someone to get that. Windcharger has not the best skills at navigation. It's good that they weren't actually able to get the boat started

Well ... it went like this. On the third day he started bugging me about all the beer I was drinking. I told him if it made him feel better, he could taste-test it for me to make sure it was safe. Oddly, he began to get a lot more relaxed after that
It's so odd, I had no idea Windcharger was so hard to find. I found him at a London Drugs in Winnipeg. I almost didn't buy him, as he was as much as a full-size Generations toy, but his little face convinced me otherwise. I'm glad I did now. He gets lots of hugs to make up for having to work for Red

That Red ... all work, all the time. Windcharger is not pleased by his new boss. He really did think he'd get to live at the lake. He was begging me to leave him there ... until I reminded him that my little cousins frequently populate the place without me. The threat of children is a far greater deterrent than the idea of working for Red Alert.

They got a warm welcome from Bluestreak and some of the others when I did get them home. I think 'Charger is still in a funk over not getting to live at the lake, though. I'll have to bring them when I go back

I love the idea of Backfire only speaking in emotions-- it's cute!
I saw a Backfire for $5 at Walmart a month or so back. I didn't get him, though, because it was either him or Powerglide for about the same amount, and PG is from G1 and Backfire is from the live action series... Up, up, and awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay we went~~~ without him. :C
What the heck!? I've been searching every website out there for that Windcharger and on each one he is VERY expensive to the point of me asking "Are you KIDDING me??" To hear he's still in drugstores just makes me say that life is unfair. :I Because they can't be selling a $13.00 toy for 40 some bucks at a drugstore. How much was he?

Tiny little Windcharger? He was only 13$, I think. I got him, Backfire and a mini ROTF Ravage and it was less than thirty bucks. But considering this is up here in Canada, and also in a town probably not up to date on toy deliveries, he may have been left over. I hadn't seen him anywhere else before.
Backfire is adorable. I'd seen him once before at Walmart but passed him up, so I was glad to find him again. For a Movie toy, he doesn't really have the same look. I got loads of sweet little pictures of him ... so many that I forgot to get any of Windcharger trying to steal the boat

FFFFFF---- That's what I'm talking about. :I That's all he SHOULD be! Rrrr, these online sites are trying to weasel money out of me. I can't find a Henkei Sunstreaker ANYWHERE less than 70 or 80 bucks. :C /wrist
Well, if I see him again (which won't be likely due to the HUGE import of MECHTECH toys my Walmart has), I'll have to take him home with me.
Ha! Windy will have to wait for another vacation and another boat.
