hey keren-r!
i stumbled upon this tutorial one chilly morning at 4am... and i tried this out in CS2, but for some reason after rasterising the layer, i'm still unable to use the distort>wave filter... any ideas?
i'm definitely following your intructions up to that point though.

yo! it took me like, a whole day, but i figured it out - i was in RGB/16bits mode... and it won't let you use most of the filters then. i'm not sure why, but for future reference - u might wanna know!

I love these waves, they look very nice.
However i was having a problem. I completed this a few times, and it turned out ok, but i couldnt get enough variation in my wave. I must have clicked "randomise" 1000 times but it still sort of turned out grouped together, instead of the nice swirls in the tutorial.
Any suggestions?

you can try to play with the wave settings
my settings in this tut are used for a specific size of waves, everything's depends..
just play with that :]

YaY nice effect! but...after i resterize i can make the "disort" effect.. :S
u have any idea why??? i have PS CS1...do i need CS2??? the only affects i can apply is the "Blur", "noise",Sharpen","Stylize" and "other"...any idea why i cant do disort???:S

Rasterization - the process of converting vector graphics to pixel graphics.
Thats the explenation I was looking for - didn't know what the word meant... Wikipedia helped - thanks anyway.
