My daughters saw the gardevoir picture I did (Here: www.deviantart.com/kereth-midk… ) And immediately said "Oh, now do Zelda!" Well, I'm apparently a shamelessly indulgent father, so I followed the same procedure, found somebody who had done some zelda lineart that was open for use and colored it. Here's the results.

This was more complicated than the gardevoir picture, due to the complexity of the image, but it was still basically the same process of filling sections with color, applying black and white layers and blurring appropriately. Not a lot new to say about this one.

Anyway, yes, this is Princess Zelda from The Legend of Zelda video game franchise by Nintendo. My kids keep referring to this as "toon zelda" or "wind waker zelda" but I believe the lineart was actually based off of some official Minish Cap promo art. Since that's one of the games I actually haven't played, I can't comment a lot on her getup. Is that a Hylian Shield? I dunno. Probably. Either that or it's some equivalent. One of these days, maybe we'll get a game that actually stars Zelda and she can use the dang thing instead of just posing with it.
