This is not satanic or meant to be so. Samhain is "the Thin Veil between the worlds is lifted. Communicating with ancestors and departed loved ones is easy at this time." To give a very short, simple answer. So that is why those ritual "items" are on the floor with the pentacle. Anyway! Happy Halloween.Stock:

Another great work - the sole warmth in this picture is in the cat and the flames - the rest is cool, cool blues and greys. Which, given the subject matter, is a wonderful counterpoint to up the '
The slight dodging/shadows in the corners of the backdrop (just above the 'wooden plank' foreground and in the upper corners) I wonder about. They strike me as incongruous, given the other light sources in the piece. Were the cat behind the candles, I could see shadowing in the bottom left, perhpas - but not all four.
Even so, that's a very neat piece of work!
