Sorry I didn't get the chance to enter the contest. I ended up being gone ttwice as long as I'd expected, but I probably still will use this!

That's ok. I'm glad you'll try the pattern. I'm currently running the Hodgepodge Hat Contest, and I plan to extend the deadline to give people more time.

Great. But you should be proud that I did do some sewing while I was gone.

Seriously? Well, the pictures are the newest in my gallery if you want to check them out. I made a plushie, and a doll will a full outfit.

I love Kaylee's sneakers! They're adorable. You remind me of me...dabbling in all kinds of arts and crafts. I've done everything from painting and drawing to building miniatures (not from a kit, but my own designs) and now sewing clothing for dolls. I've got a room full of art supplies and fabric that would require a dumpster to throw away whenever that day comes.

Just remember, each time you make something, you learn a new technique or something about yourself. If anything, art has taught me patience.

I agree 100%, I'm always figuring out how to make something look better or work better. I have my Mum to thank alot for that, though.

And yeah, I'm rather fond of those sneakers myself. They were originally white felt that I coloured on with Sharpies and Mod-Podged, but they looked sloppy, so I painted them insted and re-Mod-Podged them, so now their pretty stiff too!

What a great discovery! I forgot that paint stiffens the materials. I'll have to remember that the next time I try to make shoes for my dolls.

I think the Mod-Podge is really what did it though, I can't even make them flex a little!
