Commission/Trade I did for my friend Avalia-Kasa , for a Promovid for her newest VOCALOID song "Path of Light", which you can listen to here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXZ7wgā¦She asked me along the way if I would animate the girl looking up, so i added an animation :3 Make sure you view it fullsized to really see the animation, it will not work in preview!

Very nicely done! You should mention the Nashye lore the song is based on, which adds a layer of meaning to the illustration.
Is there a special symbolism associated with the path leading into the deep forest's "lamp post", and the fact that she's set to one side of this path?

As i understood it, the lamp post is a symbol for something the girl is looking for, however as she wanders around, she forgets she was looking for something. The Lantern itself is a Zinnias, a symbol of memory/remembrance. So she's looking for her memory. Yea i shouldve mentioned the lore :S Theres several plants on the piece that Avy specifically asked me for - Heather, Rosemary and Star of Bethlem, all of which bear a own meaning in the language of flowers.
