Booooo laziness. I drew this in my design culture lecture like a month ago, but I colored it today. WeeeeMy scanner died, so I had to take a picture of this with my camera. It did pretty good I must say..

Does she ever run, or do crazy stuff like fighting, though? I was curious because she appears part cat and bird, and those creatures are amazingly agile/athletic.

I actually have a collection of small sketches involving a storyline unfolding in my brain... They include doodles of Kestrel and her people in battle armor, wielding weapons and magic. I'll have to grab those and compile them sometime

There's just something about your art that always makes me go wow inside, even if you say it's a crappy old thing, your art is just so unique, it's the green apple in a red orchid. It looks like every single picture you upload, you spend hours paying attention to metticulous, thought out detail, but make it look so subtle so that you don't think twice about it unless you look at every single aspect of the picture; so everyone just looks at it as a whole going "wow, great work."
I know this simply because I take the time to actually look at your pictures, and the comments I make comme to me so easily. I NEVER take the time to comment ANYONEs pictures like I do yours. I rarely comment period. For every single aspect, it looks like you've spent forever researching to pinpoint perfection, whether it be the anatomy and detail of a bird's foot, to the complexity and texture of every type of fur.
In my opinion, you truely are a master of art, and will continue to awe everyone as you keep building your skills. You are the one person who should never give up their skill and talent, ever.

The left arm seems to be a bit too short but otherwise beautiful pic. I especially love the pose of the lil bird/lizard creature. (

Love the detail in the face, and the anatomy and such.. and cool glowy-staff-thing too.
