Description
Well, thanks to a lot of peoples word of encouragment Ive been really practicing my digital art. And another thing ive realized is I freaking have a terrible eyes for color, because working in greyscale was so easy(the drawing itself was hard) But yeah, I enjoyed this one. Then entire sketch was done in PS so thats more achievment for me.
Are these things supposed to take 5+ hrs?
And the drawing, its two dragons that are like elemental type things. The one on the left is dark energy(not evil) and the one on the right in light energy(not good)
i guess thats it.

Excellent work for someone who is starting the digital painting. However, the concept of light and dark is not clearly exemplified as it should be on color contrast since the light dragon is in shade of gray. More white or lighter colors would be more appropriate for representing the light dragon and give good opposite polarity to dark dragon.
The technique of using brushes to create the muscle striations is excellent and as well the same for textures on facial bone armors. Horns are very organic in appearance and give the illustrations the life of themselves.
One essential thing that is missing from this illustration would be the features on the opposing side which should be apparent when viewing from side; such as opposing horns that will give the approximate measurement of head itself.

Thank you for the very insightful critique. It makes so much sense and I completely agree with you. In the end these are just designs, but I probably will update this deviation with color and more contrast, though the design stays the same for they are like brother, in a way.
But thank you very much, this critique means a lot.

Props for grayscale. Easy to mess up and hard to make it look good. This looks good. I agree w/the critique, brush strokes did very well to show muscle striation, lighter and darker shading to help differentiate light and dark energy. But, I presume these dragons are a personification of your personality? If so every detail tells a little something about you and there was no detail, consciously or subconsciously, that was overlooked or out of place.
Great art. Brave work.[link]

I will never get over how wonderful your dragons are!
I believe the only thing I'm curious about is how wide the dark energy dragon's mouth is opened. I don't know if I'm just not used to seeing how wide it is or if you didn't mean to draw it so wide.

Thank you.
And yes it is intentional. I dont know why, but to me, making the jaws open really wide add a sense of dramatic power and anger in the creature.
If that makes any sense. haha

Its beautifully done, everything is well put together.
I love the horns, and the skull like heads.
And yes things like this take 5+ hours, unless your pro and can do beautiful sketches that look like they took days in a matter of minutes. :c
