Poor Alex #1 had no idea what I was talking about and probably thinks I'm a weirdo, but Alex #2 still got his own signed print, sketch, and we got to take a photo together. So though I feel like a total goofball, Alex had a happy birthday, other Alex got some free stuff, and I get a funny story to tell.
So, my sincerest apologies to both of you (hopefully being in a comic makes up for it) and another HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Alex C. Hopefully, I'll see ya' next year, gentlemen!

I did something similar. I was a special needs helper at a week-long kids' camp, and I didn't realize that there were two boys with the same name, so I gave an art piece I made for one to a totally different kid in his same small group. XD

Nah. Unless it happened much differently than above, the first kid probably went away confused thinking he was missing something. I mean, you tell someone you love them and they suddenly congratulate you and give you stuff? I know adults (possibly including myself) that would take some time to process what just happened.
