Description
So much in the same vein as my earlier Mario art, the idea here is what if I was given the reigns to a new Captain N cartoon. So this is the first in a series of character designs for it.Originally, I was thinking about suiting Kevin up with Wii gear, but I realized retro stuff was just so much cooler, especially the bright orange NES zapper.
Next time: Megaman and *ahem* Kid Icarus (I know, I know, it's Pitt, but that's what they called him in the cartoon).

I myself also have ideas if I was permitted with an oppotunity to revamp the series. Mostly changes to the plot though.

Have to say, I was looking up Captain N and that's how I found you. I love this design. I see you almost went with Wii gear. Have to admit, that's what I would have done. Though I can't beat nostalgia.

This is actually pretty awesome. N reminds me of Nestor from the old Howard and Nestor comics in Nintendo Power. Captain N could have been so good if it was done right.

I think he could look older, the original Kevin was what? Like in his 20's? (And still living his mom).

The original Kevin was still in high school, I believe, hence the varsity jacket. They drew him a bit old IMO.
I know my style tends to skew young though.

Absolutely awesome, and you're right about the gear; the orange light zapper looks great (good attention to detail).
I also like the inclusion of the silhouettes in the background, and Duke looks just plain adorable.

Dude, that was Levi Mutha-F**kin' Stubbs of the Four Tops as Mother Brain. I LOVED that shit. He was also Audrey II in the movie version on Little Shop of Horrors. Maybe it's my affinity for Motown, but I LOVE that dudes voice. ^_^
