So much in the same vein as my earlier Mario art, the idea here is what if I was given the reigns to a new Captain N cartoon. So this is the first in a series of character designs for it.Originally, I was thinking about suiting Kevin up with Wii gear, but I realized retro stuff was just so much cooler, especially the bright orange NES zapper.
Next time: Megaman and *ahem* Kid Icarus (I know, I know, it's Pitt, but that's what they called him in the cartoon).

you know if they did make a captain n reboot this seems like a good way of doing so, I imagine that this series would still take place in the 80s since he looks younger and is wielding retro Nintendo gear. also It's a good idea to stick to the classic controllers cause 1) it's a more iconic look and 2) in way it's a bit more "timeless". I can imagine as the series goes on he gets equipped with some super Nintendo stuff like that bazooka thingy and a super Nintendo controller, or maybe that could be like his super form or whatever. If there was a Captain N reboot he probably would be using a multipurpose Wiimote as a weapon that could be used as a gun, a whip, or a laser sword. But nothing wrong with going retro.

If I ever met this kid, I'd give him a high-five. He's the only other gamer beside myself whom I assume got through the NES CastleVania, Mega Man, and Kid IcarusΒ games. Those ten games are no walk in the park to go through, even if none of them are the hardest NES titles out there.Β

Nice! I have my own idea of a continuation where the game worlds and times collide. First they meet Captain Sega, a girl who is almost immediately at odds with both Kevin and Lana, and she even insults Mega Man because she just doesn't recognize him. In fact, she mentions that he looks like a cross between Snake Man and Proto Man. Kevin tells her that she and Alex Kid aren't gonna be much help, and she laughs and introduces him to Sonic.
It would also get to the point where they gain access to Microsoft World, and GlADOS comes in. She spends a lot of time making rather passive-aggressive comments about Mother Brain's weight, which understandably strains their alliance. To add to Mother Brain's frustrations, Wheatly mucks everything up worse than Eggplant or King Hippo, and Space Core... well... is Space Core. Think about it. And the N-Team and Captain X find the cake, and enjoy a much-needed (but not quite nutritious) meal.
Meanwhile, they search for the mysterious Captain Fairchild and Captain Atari, the first game masters of Videoland. Lana may not be completely of Videoland origin, and Kevin may never even need to go home. And Mega Man could end up developing an odd friendship with Claire Ursine from Sunset Valley, Simworld, while Claire would develop a rather one-sided romantic interest in Simon, but later turn her attentions to Nervous Subject from Strangetown.
Sorry for the long comment... just fangirling and stuff. I loved that series as it provided one of my few glimpses into the world of Nintendo back in the days. Besides... the stories were cool despite the series aging rather poorly lol!

Wow, if you don't remember, the show was obviously a marketing ploy to make children buy more of they're shit-products ( the NES and stuff were good,though) so Nintendo can make more money. I know this probably brings back memories of your childhood, but your nostalgia is hiding you from the truth: THIS TV SHOW SUCKS! Don't believe me, watch this :

I remember having old tapes of that show. Saw it years later, and the broken nostalgia glasses weren't kind to me LOL! I dunno why but the NES controller on his wait makes me wanna shout "HENSHIN!!"
