The brains of the outfit, clearly. The specs and Rubik's cube make me think so. The fez kind of gives him a don't-want-to-get-MattPat-in-trouble-for-copyright-infringement vibe. I guess it distinguishes him from the Doc just enough. And the big visor thingie's cool, it worked on Jeordi, it works on this guy.
Sure is pretty far-out in the fashion department combining a tie with shorts. Fits the name of the convention, I'd say.

Nice clear lines! I see a lot of abstract cartoons with really scruffy line art - it's nice to see people going all out.
