My take: The desire to keep improving always pushing yourself to the next level, always aiming to get just that little bit better and get your words, thoughts and feelings on the page. The ultimate perfection unreachable but our goal to get there and our mistakes and learning from them are what get us so far in the first place.

Weird, It's vice versa for me. Adult praise me highly for my art and my friends just pass me by as if they've seen it before. (Which is weird, seeing as how I'm, like, one of the best male artists in my school)

that was me growing up(only female). i still get that reaction from friends. Its cuz they are used to it. xp its not so weird. Its just they are used to your art. I still get that reaction, especially from artist friends... -.- though in that case its more a lil different. if your better... their is a reaction of jealousy and if your not.... well then she just picks at it. -.- anyway... they are used to it. keep getting better and better otherwise they will continue to pass you by.

Whoa! Still the opposite! I prepare, well-drawn, well-inked and well-colored drawings, and then show them to my friends and they only respond positively to stuff they like. Meanwhile, adults say all my work is good and give me helpful and friendly suggestions.
