Read MORE "I'm My Own Mascot" here: www.kevinbolk.com/comic/mascot…I have this exchange with myself on almost a weekly basis and it always ends the same way. I think that's a good thing.

Good attitude. The world has too many grown-ups already, a lot of people would be better off if they listened to their inner children.

think of it this way. You're keeping him alive. If you "grow up" you're murdering that manifestation of your inner child.

I never said toys are bad, so I don't appreciate you telling me to 'never say toys are bad'. It basically suggests that you are accusing me of saying that they're bad. Personally I have a collection of Action Figures literally covering my whole wall.
Also, just saying, I highly doubt you're older than my brother. That'd mean you'd be 33+... >->

.... Oh bugger, did I make a post without thinking again? Im so sorry. I really ought to think those out better.
Im sorry about that. The comic just brought back fun memories for me of when I once had my Lego sets. I didnt mean any offense ^^

No offense taken. I just prefer to keep things... on a 'one-line basis'... AKA I just like to make sure there aren't any mistakes, and everything keeps going as the way I see fit. I forgive you for your mistake, after all, we all make them.

History's greatest philosophers discuss the genius and insight that is the child's mind. Don't ever lose that part of yourself.

I think everyone should embrace their inner child because if we don't, I think we'll become bitter and cruel....it's my own opinion...*shrug*

Yeah, growing up doesn't involve rejecting (ie, "letting go of") your inner child. Mostly it involves realizing the whole of you is pretty totally awesome, inner child bits included.
And that He-Man toys are badass.

And if you ever have doubts about growing up being worth it, I recommend strip clubs.

Seriously, sometimes I think I'm just a kid whose body grew up too quickly.

Wait, hold on, so every week you reflect on your life and end up playing with yourself? I'm sorry, that was just too easy.
Still, those He-man toys though, I'd probably end up doing the same thing.

There's a big difference, at least I believe so, between the ideas of child-like and childish. Childish is the more negative one, with connotations of serious immaturity and inadequate behaviour. Child-like can take many forms, but used well it's quite a force; it's that sense of wonderment on seeing an amazing sunset, a beautiful rainbow, or taking a wander along a beach and seeing if there are any little animals in rock pools. It's a way of looking at the world with a younger person's eyes, instead of a world-weary, jaded gaze... and it can be fantastic.
