I think I've done far too many "meta" strips lately and, at least to me, nothing is more boring and self-indulgent than a cartoonist doing nothing but cartoons about cartooning. So, let's cook! BREAKFAST TOTS FOR EVERYONE!

Actually for me, lunch-time goes from 11 AM to 1 PM. So if you're makin those tots at 11, it's lunchtime buddy.

Was this a subtle jab at the "So, You're A Cartoonist?" comics? Or am I just reading too much into this comment? (It made me giggle when interpreting it as a tongue-in-cheek remark.

No, I'm afraid not. I was just poking fun at my own bad habits. I don't really read that comic, though Tom reads mine (or at least he used to) and he is an online acquaintance. I know of it by reputation (for better or worse) and that people leave me comments comparing it to "I'm My Own Mascot" a lot. That's just about it.
But please, don't stop giggling on my account.

Aw, and here I thought I was being all clever for actually picking up on something. *sigh*
Though I feel I should note that I do enjoy both series. I've always been drawn towards reality-based comics, and "I'm My Own Mascot" is one of the best out there (plenty of giggles to be had, one way or another!

Reminds me of the time I had that breakfast leftover pizza and the breakfast leftover lasagna.
Also, John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana, CA has a restaurant that actually does serve tater tots on their breakfast menu. I love them in spite of their overpriced meals.

Me and my friend are thinking of making a web comic, would you have any advice for someone who has never done something like that before? I'm the artist of the two of us and I dont really know how or where to start with this. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me

Well, I can't advise much on the creative end since that must be your individual voice, but I can give you one very helpful tip: Have a backlog with several weeks worth of comics ready to go before you even post the first comic. Nothing sinks a webcomic faster than not being able to update. Best of luck to you guys!
