This comic is a bit of a lie as it implies I'm actually embarrassed by my unironic love of Rick Astley.Truth be told, I associate this song (and his other hit, Together Forever) with some very pleasant childhood memories. My folks used to own a seafood resturaunt around the time this song came out. I spent my summers there eating fried shrimp, playing arcade games, messing with live crabs, and listening to the radio...MIX 106.5 to be exact , which played this song AT LEAST once every hour. And on the weekends, my folks would let me put on cartoons on the resturaunt's TV. We used to open RIGHT when Muppet Babies came on, too.
Man, I loved be a kid in the '80s.

That happened to me, but there was ONE TIME when I thought my STORE was on to me. While I was grocery shopping with my mom, I actually HEARD the song being sung through the speakers of the intercom. ... I dunno if the store was playing it for fun, or it was playing a trick on me...

That song is very awesome, and Rick Astley has the perfect voice for it. You don't find many singers with rich, vibrant voice like his. It was a crime he never really took off
