This comic was based on a conversation Sarah and I had during a long night of cutting art cards for our next convention appearance...which tends to happen during our patented pre-con all-nighters. SLEEP IS FOR THE WEAK....and thumbless.

I'm sorry hun. Oh god, carving linoleum was frightening. It's bad enough that the knifes are super mega sharp but I sat next to this really scary gangster satanist guy that kept putting the knives in his pocket and smuggling them out of class. Damn, my art class was ghetto. How did I even survive?

Unless he took those too. In which case, that is pretty scary. Worst classmates I had to deal with in my class was one guy who did nothing but talk about smoking weed (he basically only took the class because he thought it was like a free period, and constantly bitched and complained whenever he actually had to...y'know...make art), and the other guy who was an elitist artsy douchebag.

No, this guy took all matter of pointy things he could get his hands on. He was scary and made everybody call him Lucifer. He kept offering to shank people for me and I thought he was messing with my head... until he went to jail for actually shanking someone along with a few other felonies.

That sad thing is, I can totally see myself reacting like that if I were to somehow manage to cut my thumb off. Just replace "My art cards are ruined" with "I just finished writing that and it was perfect and I'll never be able to write something that well ever again." XD

yeah, that was me in graphic design school. i cut my finger tip clean off with a brand new x-acto blade and i'm more worried about pouring blood on my new print out that i was cutting out.....oh the pathos!
