22x28 oil on linen canvas. Β This painting started out to depict a random street scene, but as I began painting the people a narrative started to emerge. I then tried to portray how individual stories all converge in a moment of time. Comments welcome , hope you enjoy. ΒRelated content

The trees in the background are immensely tall and may seem strange to the viewer...but for me I see a street in this reality that leads to a fantastical land of imagination.Β Am I right in thinking maybe this is where everyone is going?Β Maybe this place is the last stop before stepping into another realm.Β

Β I believe now that I miss the mark with the background, it was done very early on in the painting, it is actually a cliff with trees on top, but I can see how this may not be obvious. Β Despite this miss on my part, I love your interpretative take, the image takes on new meaning.Β

Β Initially I used the photo but then quickly switched gears to use my imagination. Β I think you keenly picked up that there may be a bit of incoherence in the image, your feedback helped me reflect on that...thanks.Β
